THE DIAMOND REFLEXION

THE DIAMOND REFLEXION

Written by Khalil de Heeckeren d'Anthès

Reflecting on a year shaped by high fidelity and objects of mastery

Some objects simply refuse to be ignored. They arrive in the world with a sense of gravity, already weighted by the intensity of their making. In 2025, a powerful thread emerged accross wildly different fields: the feeling that something had been forged with such singular precision that the process of its creation became the most captivating part of the final result.

Consider the sound system that holds the room like a sculpture. Or the automotive engineering that shares deep logic with high-end acoustics. And then there are diamonds, unmatched in meaning and permanence. These were examples of work compressed under enough pressure that the deep-seated craft became as palpable as the material itself.

This is a record of three such moments, all shaped in conversation with ReflexGroup. Sound, supercar, and stone. Each one a sharp plane on the same form, facets of a single, meticulously carved year.

Sound - Paris

At The Codes exhibition in Paris, the custom McIntosh amplifier designed by Virgil Abloh arrived as a live frequency. We shaped the scenography and film around it, extending a visual language already charged with radical energy. Spray-painted in Abloh's signature orange, it held more than sound. It carried memory, connection, and cultural rhythm.

For those fluent in his work across fashion, furniture, and industrial design, the piece spoke instantly. Its presence became a meeting point for communities who experience sound as a cultural frequency, not just acoustic output.

Here, high fidelity aligned with our diamond logic: emotional calibration, held in a form that privileges translation over definition.

Supercar- New York City

Sonus Faber and Lamborghini operate in different domains, but speak in a shared language: performance shaped through discipline. One sculpts sound. The other, motion. At the House of Sound in Chelsea, we gave that logic physical form. For two nights, the space became a system of control. Listening rooms tuned to reveal acoustic intention. A Temerario demonstration rendered as a kinetic study. Personalization not as flourish, but as process.

The result was a complete field of feeling, where the operating principle behind a supercar could be heard, and the stucture of a sound system could be felt. Motion and acoustics, engineered from the same foundation: that power comes from knowing exactly where to apply pressure, and when to hold back.

Stone - Shanghai

A diamond doesn't gesture. It declares. And this one said everything without needing to say much at all. Throughout our partnership with HB Antwerp, the guiding force of high fidelity became a structure. We helped give it form, from signature film to sculptural casework, from digital to print.

This wasn't just luxury framed. It was our thesis crystallized. The diamond as the ultimate expression of transcendence: born from pressure, perfected by hands, built to endure centuries.

This is simply the chronicle of a year where making became inseparable from being.
